Logging your Optimism

Journaling is always an excellent method to monitor progress.  Get into the habit of regularly making entries--write down your feelings, build your confidence,  increase self-awareness and watch your self-image grow in positivity.

Record your reactions to key events in your life.  As yourself questions such as, "What did I tell myself about this?", "How would an optimist explain this situation?", "What am I grateful for today?", "What did I worry about today?", "What was today's break-through?"  You might be interested in downloading this Optimism for Mental Health 3.1 Diary and making the adjustments that you want.
With gratitude, I base this blog on the book "Learn to be an Optimist: A Practical Guide to Achieving Happiness" by Lucy MacDonald, a Quebec-based motivational speaker with an academic background in psychology and counseling.
